Received mail-in flash, something's not right!

1. I have not seen verification of the rev limiter being stock. You said you used WinPep or whatever...that means you can zip and upload the files for us all to see. Get to it.
2. You don't have an MBC - of course the boost levels are stock. What else would they be?
3. You can't rely on the butt dyno - that's a terrible mistake.
Lastly, you still have no idea how much power your car was making stock. That was the first and most critical mistake. YOu just automatically assume that your car is underpowered with NO FRAME OF REFERENCE. You have to determine the actual problem FIRST, then you try to resolve it.
The whole thing about contacting Al 5 times or whatever does not help to illustrate why it was ok to make this thread. All it does is help to illustrate why al is never able to answer anyone, because people like yourself inundate him with tons of correspondence over multiple media (VM, email, IM, PM), which makes it utterly impossible to respond to those who really need immediate help. It becomes impossible to sift through them all, especially when there's 5 from each person.
Now, I want your Evo to be as fast as it can be, so I'll help figure this out, but you started off on the wrong foot due to having a few misconceptions about things...especially how you're actually questioning whether boost leaks can cause significant power losses (that blows my mind, especially when I just spent time explaining WHY it does). I notice you have Forge MBC listed in your sig? I thought you didn't have any boost control? Is that just listed by mistake or what? If you have one, you should install it and set the boost to 22-23psi, THEN see what the dyno says (ensure 0 leaks AFTER the install).

Come on Warr, give the guy a break. If Al doesn't reply to people, and this is obviously a problem with all the current post, what do you expect someone to do. People wouldn't contact Al repeatedly if he replied to them in what they considered a timely matter. Clearly, there is a problem with his car. Hopefully, you or others can help him fix it.

1. I only have a print out of the dyno results, I do not have a CD copy. I had them try to rev over 7600, to 8k, and it was not happening. The car popped like crazy when it hit that 7600 redline!
2. Wouldn't the ECU allow boost to peak to whatever settings were inputted? IE, if the flash/settings were changed to allow 23psi? I know the MBC would help control the boost levels better, but the ECU should allow a bigger spike if changed. If this isn't true, then why the h*ll do we request certain psi when we send the ECU in? Sure, I could put the MBC in, and change boost to whatever I want, I understand that. I do not claim to be a perfessional in flashing or ECU settings, that is what I pay professionals for!!!
3. I understand the butt dyno can lie, but if I felt a difference with just the TBE, what makes you think I wouldn't feel 25-40whp???
Also, you speak about me thinking my car is underpowered, and what frame of reference I have??? READ YOUR OWN SIG!!! I went in the dyno, thinking I would break 300whp on a Dynojet, only because I have no MBC installed. I didn't think I would make the 330whp you claim! You are insanely crazy if you think my car is going to make up the difference with only a MBC, and boost increased 2psi!
You didn't explain anything about how boost leaks cause problems. You only pointed fingers, and said it could be the cause. HondaFan was the one that actually explained what areas he found leaks in. Wow, someone can actually give advice without trying to make another user look like an idiot, what a concept!
I also have the 02 housing listed in my sig, it just isn't installed. I just haven't updated my sig in awhile. It seems to me that you are reaching now. You act like I am saying a vendor is bad, or that he provides bad serivces...I just wanted to varify the ECU was actaually flashed! I am trying to respond to your attacks in the most respectful manner I can, but your replies are almost always putdowns or attacks 1st, and helpful advice 2nd. You must be some damn good driver, if your sponsors put up w/ you treating people like sh*t! You know what? If you want to help, I would appreciate it! If your going to continue to talk down to me, or make useless attempts to make me look like an idiot, then just search around, and flame other users.

I do not need you to tell me "ok, you did what you can, go ahead and start a thread". I have attempted to contact him by phone and PM before this happened also, and still have not heard back. Gee, I wonder why I wanted to try this method???

PS - Warrtalon helps me with customer service on a volunteer basis - he works very hard and I appreciate all his help - please be nice to him
I have not been reachable the last few days was I was flying and driving for 22 hours straight from AK to VA
The problem with your car is easily resolved

BTW - I have no problem with this guy making a post - I am here to service my customers and I want the opportunity to correct his problem which is most likely just a car needing a boost adjustment which is easy enough to do
AL
Turns out he had requested a Wartalon kit flash which has a Forge UNOS MBC but was not running the MBC yet
A few adjustments and he was running like a champ
Thanks for driving down so I could fix it
