Al or Warrtalon, do I need a reflash if I install an O2 housing?

Hey Al, I had a custom road tune from you in AK. I have a downpipe, tbe, & intake on my IX MR. I was wondering if installing a 3 inch O2 housing requires a retune. Will it affect my tune negatively if I don't reflash it or will it be ok to istall without another custom tune? Thanks...

Bump for a good question.

I was wondering the same. I am thinking about adding a Megan manifold, and an o2 housing. I already have your flash as well AL. it Effin' rocks by the way.

I was in the same boat. The answer I got was no, I didn't need an adjustment for the O2 housing I installed or for the new LICP I put in as well.

I do for the 255 fuel pump though... So the pump is on hold at the moment.

you should be able to install the fuel pump without a reflash. (i'm going by what warr and al told me about mine)

as for the o2 housing, i dont think you need to worry about a reflash for that either.

Need? No, it won't throw off your tune or cause any safety concern?

Good for getting the most power gains? Yes, without a retune, you probably won't get all the power from the o2 that you could get otherwise.

If you have a custom tune, don't sweat it. If you only have a base flash, then consider doing a reflash for $100 or an e-flash, but the bottom line is a reflash is not necessary.

Greg, for you, it's more important, because you're changing 2 mods, one of which is more major than an o2 housing. The combined effect of the header/o2 is very nice, but it needs a tune to be optimized.
