boost had a lot to do with it but useless without the tune...like i said the first pull was 228.something and the second was in the 250's before Al touched my boost controller. and before the tune when i had the boost up i'd hit fuel cut at like 21lbs (on my defi) so it didnt really matter that i had that boost on tap. now i hit 23.5-24 and its as smooth as can be. verrry good tune. oh and thanks for the compliment! thank you too Carlos for the compliments and help along the way! ill talk to ya sometime this weekend!

I understand that part but the thing is that he couldn't raise the boost before due to knock. Everyone knows that raising the boost in a proper way will give you more power but the bottom line is that the increased hp is ultimately linked to a good tuning.

Otherwise why don't we tell everyone to just raise the boost to 22.5psi without tuning and see what is up. You just can't do one without the other. Well actually yes you can but it will cost you a 4G63 engine like it did to me twice back in 95 and 96.

Carlos

I know man... It's just weird he would have it below stock levels before his tune (maybe a dif turbo kit?) I was just stating the majority of the difference was from the increased boost (that required a tune).

and it cost me one back in 2001 .....and chil, i understand what you're sayin. thats why i pointed out it gained about 25whp without even touching the boost. and im on the stock turbo. i had the boost low cause i didnt wanna come close to fuel cut again and i dont have any way of logging myself so im sure it had a decent knock count at even 19-20psi. i was still faster than most things around anyway

Thanks Al and Dave

Don't remember my #'s to well, as I was just concerned about the reliability, plus I forgot my dyno sheet ... but Jarod is mailing it to me

Pump #'s were something like 290 whp, and 280 tq. At 21 psi.

C16 mix was 305 whp and 345 tq. At 27 psi.

I wanted to run more boost, say 23 to 24 psi on pump but for some reason I was showing knock Why is that, is it cause to engine is so efficiant with my mods at 21 psi, anything more than that is to much for the turbo?

Track results were scary... I was lookin for you Al on saturday???
