Need a fix for 91 octane on a 93 octane flash.

The only gas station with 93 octane in my area quit selling it and went to 91 octane. Now my car really runs like crap, I've tried reducing the boost and adding fuel through the AFC but I guess that is raising the timing. Honestly the flash helped the knocking problem on my car and it ran better but never eliminated it. What is the best thing to do for now??

add one gallon of toluene to 10 gallons of 91. it raises it to 92.5 oct. it can be found at your local Ace Hardware store.

You also need to add a capful of ATF to the mix.. don't forget that.

Also, sell that S-AFC and buy the tactrix cable for ECUFlash/Evoscan.. learn to adjust your tune on your own . You'll enjoy the fact that you can monitor your knocksums and timing .. also.

Just a suggestion

welp, that might help, but i think that if he has enough gas already, then he shouldnt have a problem. you could also use Marvel Mystery Oil too. I firmly believe in that stuff. it is a great top end lube and it is safe for fuel also.

so good point to add some erl to the mix.

I dont know about this, it could get expensive as I drive about 65 miles everyday and like I said, it still had knock with 93 octane and even lower boost that it was tuned for. It has to be timing as it had a solid 10.8 AFR until 7000rpm and then ran around 11.1 to 11.3 from 7000-7800rpm in 4th gear.

Yes..toulene is very corrosive to the pump/lines/motor. ATF acts like a lubricant, yes.
