That's one hell of a marketing Gimmic I guess Dave want's to pump out those 20g's to the Evo Clientel.

If it bothers you so much add a hidden short of NAWZZZZZZZZz to get your additional power, it'll work perfectly if not better in the 1/4 and keep that summer heat at bay.

Well I guess since GT30R sti's run 12's &13's and stock turbo evo's run 11's it's fair lmao.

 

is a 25G the next step up from a 20G(and is it stock appearing?)? How is that turbo as far as spool/power?

 

25G AFAIK is part of a Greedy turbo kit and is QUITE huge. The best stock appearing turbo is in fact the FPGreen just relased.

 

The LT's/green has gone 10's on two cars when only two cars had them. This year I expect to see more Green turbos in the 10's. Makes the class pretty fair.

Yeah but you also the only vender/tuner I know of that actually sells a STOCK appearing turbo that actually works .

 

Not to be biased here but I do think its somewhat funny that bolts ons and a turbo barely bigger than stock gets the evo in 10's with stock bottom and and drivetrain beside maybe clutch. Take alot more than that to get a Suby in 10's...reliably also. Not to go OT David but do you think it is possible for the STI to run those times as easy as say a couple of your guy's evo's. I believe that where the Evo shows its strength is really when you start modding them as far as bolt ons.

 

got linked here from nasioc...i don't understand why a couple evo owners get soo butthurt (insecurity?) over the sti finally catching up performance-wise. you should take it as a compliment cause it's your car that has set the standard.

as for the showdown rules, again another compliment for the evo. we all know the evo is fast and can be made faster with less money put in as compared to the sti...so this 'handicap' that all of you cry about is to level the playing field, not so that the subarus will be guaranteed to win.

and lastly, i've met many friendly evo owners. i don't understand why a group of fanboys can't have some sort of respect for other cars (not just the wrx/sti)...

 

I couldn't agree more, fanboys should be more respectful. IE shouldn't go on opposing boards looking to stir up crap and throwing insults around.

As for the showdown, call the feedback what you'd like. . . It just sucks that in order to 'compete' people have to de-mod their vehicles.

Coming from an old school 2002 bugeye wrx, I am happy to see that Subaru has woken up. They have been getting stomped on for a long time, so it's good to see the competition is getting a lot closer.

You guys shouldn't take so much offense to this. I think the ONLY thing that will come of this is that the cars will just keep on getting better, trying to out do one another. This is GOOD. Let the games begin!
