don't really want to get into the reasons of why, but my car has sat for 4 months now. i got in it the other day and the battery is dead. probably has been for a while. does this mean my flash is gone now?

 

no. the only way the flash will be removed is if it is reflashed by someone.

 

The flash is permanent until its reflashed !

However, short term learned corrections, trims and engine codes are erased when the battery is disconnected

The ecu revrets back to when it was last flashed when you disconnect the battery or it goes dead
