Info needed on NHRA rule change for roll bars!
At the track yesterday they let me go lower than 11.99 several times - this time out no warnings - a nice feeling for a change
I was told that the NHRA issued a "memo" to member tracks recently to the effect that all street legal, registered and insured cars with street tires that drive into the track are NOW exepmt from the 11.99 roll bar rule and can go up to 11.50 at test and tune days without a roll bar
I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this??
I was told this was becuase so many stock cars with minimal mods now are capable of going faster than 11.99 - such as the vipers and z-06 vettes that the 11.99 rule was getting ridiculous

Did the officials at the etown tell you about the rule change? I couldn’t find anything on NHRA site about this rule change.
