Review of Magnus intake manifold
Wonderful unit and great service from Magnus
Marco is a good guy to deal with for sure
The unit was a royal pain in the *** to install and this is not a mod for the faint of heart
There are numerous modifications to your car needed - EGR gone, fuel vapor recovery modified, PCV modified, thorttle cable modified, I guess all for the better if you want power but still I wanted to give heads up that its going to take you some time to sort everything out
Also - you will need a new upper i/c pipe
Luckily for me my car is off to Unauthordox Racing for the roll bar install next week do they will be able to make me up a nice intercoller pipe
As for the good stuf - the actual manifold came wonderfully boxed and is very well made
It also fit on the head like a glove and did not conflict with any of the parts on the car
As for the driving impressions - I had to remove my fuel pressure regulator and put the stock one back on so my tune is off (too lean)
However - this intake simply amazed me as it actually spools up almost 400 RPMS SOONER - the low end spool up is better and it pulls so hard at only 1.0 bars I broke the tires loose in 3rd gear! The car easily has 25 - 30 more whp at that boost point up top compared to the stock intake
I just cant wait to get my Aeromotive adjuable regulator back on and turn up the boost
Summary - a wonderful piece - priced fairly - brings amazing performance gains but requires a lot of install time
