I'll move this to the DynoFlash forum so Al can see it and respond.

Thanks KK

I use a 2.6 " HKS down pipe - smaller is better sometimes - more low end spool up and trq

Dynoflash, does smaller exhaust in general mean better spool up and torque? If I would want better low end and mid-range and faster spool up for autocrossing, would I be better off with a smaller pipe for turbo back exhaust?

what i use on my 3027s equiped evo does not really translate good into stock evo with internal wastegate

From what I have seen 3 " works better on the stock cars

Al,

If I put a 3" dn pipe and test pipe with the stock exhaust?
do you think it can still make resonable power w/o aftermarket cat-back on your dynoflash ?

One of my clients with the mail in flash went 12.4 @114 mph without cams - and then we went down to 12.2 @ 118 with the cams and a reflash

Without cams 300 - 310 whp is what you can expect with the right supporting mods

With cams 318 - 338 whp is the ususal target we see

All my tuning is super conservative and gives up about 10% off the theroetical peak power to yield a large but comforting margin of saftey - my a/f targets and ign timing is much more conservative than any of my competitors. Low egts and low knock counts are the word for Dyno Flash - while great trq and smooth power bands are achived
