stage rev

im pretty new to the evo tuning world. I looked at the dynoflash website, my service manager highly recommended it, and was wonderinf about the stage rev flash.

does this flash go on the stock ecu? or do you have to have one of the dynoflash stage 0 or stage 1 flashes already?

i basically want to remove the boost taper and raise my rev limiter. and so far this is the best deal i have found. any info would be great.

thanks
Dylan

I would recomend our "through the fed Ex" flash which is not even listed on our web site

its a total retune of your car and all the opther features - matched to your own mods and fuel used for $199.99 plus shipping

It really works well and great bang for the buck

by, "all the other features" do you mean boost taper is eliminated, and the rev limiter is increased?

jsut curious. A friend of mine has the dynoflash tune on his EVO and i am trying to achieve his numbers. 343 whp with the dynoflash, catback, and mbc. OH race gas was used as well.

thanks

Boost taper, rev limiter, fuel cut removal are all included as well as Fireball 1 and 2 technology and if you upgrade to the Walboro pump Fireball 3

Al since when have you been able to eliminate boost taper with only dynoflash. you dynoflashed my car on the dyno and i still have boost taper, did it around september. you had told the only way to eliminater boost taper would be with a mbc or ebc. correct me if i am wrong or if the new flashe technology has fixed that problem.

off topic: have you done any test with intakes on the same car. meaning have you taken the same car with stock air box dynoflash it and then put a cone style intake and seen any hp diff.

We only delay the factory boost tapering

Since it is an OPEN loop boost control set up the ecu does not direct the exact boost - therefore - while the boost taper delay adjustment is very helpful on stock evos - we do recomend a MBC or preferably a EBC

so what do you mean by delay?

basically what id lke to do is install an MBC and be able to start at and hold 20 psi till 7200 or so.

with your flash will that be possible?

That's a good question. I was trying to decide what path to follow myself. I definately am going to do the mail in flash, but would I be better of buying an MBC first? Do you any recomendations as to an MBC? I'm sure you guys have tested a lot of them. ;-)

Thanks!

When you install a MBC you are eliminating the factory boost solenoid -- which also eliminates the Dyno Flash boost delay -- so the only limiting factors to holding steady boost will be the ability of your MBC and your BOV. Oh, if you have any leaks in the system that will cause taper too. Incidentally, I have a MBC and boost to 20 dropping to 18 at redline. I suspect the culprit is the BOV leaking and it is in no way related to the Dyno Flash.

Correct on all counts

Add to this the fact that the stock turbo starts to run out of steam after 6,000 rpms and the boost will naturall fall off slightly
