1G bov for evo
After tightening the clamps on our stock evo 8 bov, I noticed a big difference in the pull past 5k rpm.
And I have also heard that the 1g bov is much better than the stock plastic one. So Im looking at getting the 1g bov, and have heard that it needs an adaptor for it also.
I called Bushur and they said that they have them, but it has to go on the IC pipe??? Im looking to just replace it in the stock location. Has anyone done this , and where in the heck do you find one of these at?
Thanks Alot, and a few pictures would be nice also.
So basically,,,,,,I want it in the stock location,,,, and where to buy it at,,,,,any vendors have 'em?

try www.dejontool.com. they sell the 1G for less than $90.00. They also have a seal kit for the 1G that is better than the old school DSM trick of "crushing." If you really want to be thrifty, go to a junk yard and find an old DSM. I am sure you will have no problem locating a 1G BOV there.

All the 1G's I've seen bolt to the IC pipe with a flange, like the Greddy Type S. But the
Greddy has an adapter which bolts to the flange and gives you a pipe nipple to put a
hose on.
Wonder if the Greddy adapter will work on a 1G ???

I got the 1G in the stock location. I just swapped out the stock BOV for the 1G. The only thing I had to do was place a cut rubber hose around the bottom of the BOV (The part that runs into the intake pipe). The reason being the stock 1G outlet that runs into the stock EVO intake pipe is too small. As a result, by putting a hose around the 1G outlet, it made the outlet larger. This enabled me to tighten the intake pipe around 1G outlet (No leaks due to a loose fit). I will try and take pics laterz.

unless you crush the 1g BOV it will leak... the stock will hold more boost than a stock 1g bov... crushed it will hold about 20 psi.... go with the forge... that is what I am running...in the evo now
I'v had the 1gen, greddy, and the tial on my past cars.. the forge was new to me but it is very good IMO...
