Drivetrain fluids?

What aftermarket driveline fluids does dynoflash recommend? After hours and hours of researching different threads, I can't find a fluid thats doesn't have both good and bad things written about it.

Any recommendations Al?

IMHO - only ONE choice if you wish your stock drivetrain to last 18,000 plus miles of daily use with 500 whp and dozens of all out drag runs

Shell Helix Full Synthetic gear oil from Ferrari dealership

the trans shifts like butter afterwards

Is there a specific type (spirax A or B or something)? I've heard about the helix stuff but couldn't find where to get my hands on some. I'll go try the dealership.

just tell the Ferrari parts guy you want the same gear oil from the enzo and then . . . . get ready to reach for your wallet

Thanks,

I think the wallet line is prolly right. I looked at an Enzo when one showed up at the track at a lapping day. I figured One of the brake/wheel assemblies was worth more than my house. the thing reeks of money, (in a good way)

think Seattle , think Windows, wasn't the Man but one of Them.

GL4 - GL5 I believe that they only have one kind - but i wouldn't know. If you want specifics - check with your local Ferrari dealer or PM Ferrarokid on this forum - i am sure he can fill you in on all the details.

This stuff is the best gear oil I have ever tried - i have been using it since i had my STI 6 speed in my WRX with great success. In that application my 5th gear synchro was not working well with red line and when I switched to the hellix it started to work perfectly

When I take this stuff out of the box when I change clutches - it still looks like brand new and pours like oilive oil - I see zero metal on my drain plug. I would not trust anything else

Do you have any idea of what it cost? I have been having tranny problems ever since I drove off of the lot and I have been trying to figure out a fix for it ever since. I might give this fluid a shot.

What is the price per quart of this Shell oil. I cannot find Helix gear oil, only spirax gear oil. Helix seems to be motor oil, Spirax is the gear oil?. I just put Redline in the trans, and I think it is actually worse?
