Dyno Flash challenge results! Vs. tuned AFC

Here is a guy who showed up to represent the Evo-NY cclub at our dyno day yesterday - I gave him the offer of the Dyno Flash challenge

He had a SAFC tuned by another local tuning house on the dyno - thier numbers were almost the same as the ones that we recorded on his base line dyno pull - 305 whp (not bad) and 269 ft lbs - not too good

His dyno curve was a bit bumppy and when I road tested it he was pulling timing in the middle - 5 degress ; then 2 degress then 5 ; it was a real rough power band

After installation of the through the mail Fire Ball 3 reflash - retail $199.99 - you can see his trq jumped up almost 60 ft lbs and is a lot smoother and better feeling

His top end picked up 15 whp and his car is now tuned much more safely

His previous tune was almost at 13.0 / 1 a/f which seems to be popular with some other tuners

The results speak for themselves and we have another satisfied member of the Dyno Flash happy customer group !

Anyone who wants to take the Dyno Flash Challenge - call me any time

If we dont get your car making more power and smoother your dyno time is free and you go back to the previous tune you had before

Game over ! Dyno Flash wins every time

By the way this guy's mods had NO CAMS !!!!!!!

RMR intake - ralli art induction pipe, intercooler pipes, 3" exhuast with test pipe, walboro 255 fuel pump, HKS EVC V, super afc

IMHO - an amazing result with such few mods

another fine dyno sheet i'm sure the "other local tuner" would find some excuse as to why you picked up more hp and TONS more torque...no?

Al have you had a chance to see if you could make more power then Vishnu's xflash? I know that Shiv posted something about if he can not make any more power over any other flash it's free. Do you have the same type of offer?

"More power" is very subjective...

Thanks - I think ther can be no lame excuses here. Apparently when the other local tuner tuned him, they did a dyno sheet which had the same exact ft lbs number but 10 more whp. That dyno was done in colder conditions. I would say our base line on the other tuner's work is very close and very representative. Hopefully the car owner will comment here on how fast his car is now because honestly it blew me away fro a car with no cams.

It was kind of funny - when I took it for a test drive, as soon as I nailed it his exhuast muffler shot off his mid pipe. It hits very hard down low.

I agree 100%. That is why i do not like making power estimates.

A guy with this level of mods can make from 285 whp to 320 whp and be tuned perfectly.

For me the main issues on tuning are repeatability, lack of ecu induced knock corection on the timing and low egts combined with a ultra smooth dyno sheet. Very often we have to compromise a lot of power left on the table to get a smooth sheet.

I will be the first to admit that this particular car was on the very high side of power for its mod list.

However - the point was to demonstrate what my $199.99 through the mail flash could do against a custom dyno tuned AFC from a reputatble tuning house.

Just for info - his final tune was de-tuned 4 whp from these levels as we felt this particular tune was too agressive for daily use.

Margin of saftey is very important.

I see the mail-in flash is 199. I have Buschurs Stage 4 and was told to go to them for the flash. They charge 399. What's the difference?

Well - truth be known I started the Dyno Flash Challenge as a response to Shiv's Xflash Challenge

I can't speak for Shiv - but for myself its more of an amusing fun thing for me in which I like to try and see what I can do

I have no real interest in playing games with the Xflash and honestly there are no Xflash customers around here to play with

Of course, I am always up to a test - for fun.

I am sure the Xflash produces very good numbers and is an excelent product.

In this case we were dealing with the SAFC piggy back which will NEVER be able to compete against ANY decently tuned reflash.

There are a lot of guys using SAFC's out there and I want them to know what they are missing - lots of low wne trq!

The Buschur Flash was made in OHIO on the Buschur Dyno and has Dave Buschur and Tym's personal settings produced over a 8 hour tuning session. The extra charge covers the development time and expenses to arrange a dyno session in Ohio. The $399 price is comprable to the Works P2 and the X flash in price and it is ment to be a competative product to those units.

The Buschur Flash produces amazing numbers and is a real blast to drive.

You can ONLY get the Buschur Flash from Buschur Racing.

Hey thanks Al. I've been knocking around the idea of getting Buschurs Flash for months now. I think with the Stage 4 I am running I could greatly benifit from this.

Al, Ive been thining about a reflash but im a little confused. I have visited a different web site were you are a moderator of and you bash on Vishnu's products. Something about 289 dyno pulls. Right here you say its an excellent product. Its 200 bucks cheaper but if its a better product, why?
