Dynoflash'd in Texas
Dynoflashed in Texas
Well I just got back from getting a basic flash from Al. He came down to Texas to tune a couple of cars. I have to say the car runs a lot better than it did with just a s-afc. It runs much cleaner part throttle and low end. There were a couple of guys getting custom tunes and I have to say I was very impressed with their results. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is modding their evo. Great time and great guy. The funny thing is that I wasn't planning on even getting flashed until he told me to give it a try and see how I like it. I must say he has done a great job of working on the evo flashes. I would really go with him if you are planning on it, simply because he has much experince tuning the flash in various areas of the country and seems to know how the car responds to mods in different areas. again thanks Al...

Bryan,
I had a blast... I'm not much for sucking up, but I have to say that my car is considerably faster than before the custom tune.
Bryan, your car is fast as he11... Have to say your car is a tad stronger than mine (a nose), but I am extremely happy with the way my car runs. It wasn't put on the Dyno, but I feel like I gained 20Hp over the mail in flash... I was down 300 lbs to you in weight and able to hang with you because of als custom tune... Way to go AL! Bryan, you will go down... I just need to strip my car like you did!!!!

I think Bryan has been to the track, but not sure what he ran. I need to get a clutch installed before I try to launch it. I'm guessing 111-113mph 12.3-12.4ish... Maybe a little better whn it cools down... Had a great time!!!!

Nice seeing/meeting you all yesterday.
The results have been very satisfying for me. I need to stop smoking the mod crack pipe and chill out. I don't want to have to buy a re-tune for a cams and upgraded intercooler just yet.
Anyhow, you all take care!

Brian, what other weight saving tactics did you use that were a little less obvious. Your choices were very aggressive although it clearly reflects your intentions, good job.
I wanted to loose a few pounds myself. But the only thing I could think of is sound deadning, bumper stabilizers, light weight batt, some exercise for me. Any suggestions or did you find something that other people may have missed that makes a big difference?

Got dynoflashed last night and my car runs alot better now. I was just curious though, how long did Al spend on your cars? The reason I'm asking is he only spent 45 minutes tuning my car and I thought the custom flash meant I was getting 2 - 2 1/2 hours of tuning.
With the reslults I have now I am very satisfied , but just wondering if you guys thought more time could have yielded a better outcome. John

Just about any bracket you could think of and any bolt that wasn't used was taken off. I had the car completely stripped about two weeks ago with seats+roof+everything else out but I put some stuff back in so I wouldn't be looked at so much by cops hehe.

IF I recall your car -I met you at 10:00 p.m. to start tuning - found out your shop had misinsstalled your boost controller- had to call the www.evo8.commechanic to come in at 11:00 p.m. ona Saturday night to fix your car -I waited till it was fixed and I Think yourr tune was done and over with by about 12:15 or so
We schedule the tunes 2 1/2 hours apart to allow sufficieentt time for any tuning issues with the cars and we sometimes run way behind schdule
In this case - I was able to veryquickly dial in your car 100% on our target points and it was tested in all our standard tests
Once I see that the a/f ratio - boost and ign timing are all on target and repeating back toback on multiple pulls -then the tuning is completed
Occassionaly we get it right on the first attempt
In your case several revisons nailed iton the head
I thought your car was running very well
However -if you are not happy I will be glad to refund your money and flash you back to stock
Our goal is 100% satisfactin and we do not want you feeling likeyou were short changed
Finally - please note -you and your friend met me at my hotel at 10:00p.m.and I finished your friends' car at 1:40 a.m
IF you were feelinng something was not to your satisfaction - you should have brought it to my attention when we got back to www.evo8.com and you went for a test drive
Special thanks to the crew at www.evo8.com for comminng inat 11:00p.m.on a saturday night to fix these two evos which has incorrect boost controller installs. Its notvery oftenyou find guys who are willing to really gp the extra mile and help out others in a jam- www.evo8.com is a really great group of guys!!!!!
Their quick action and hard work enabed me to tune these two cars - which both came out really well
I recomend them 100 % and I will be back soon
Thanks

Some cars run ver well on our base maps and require only minor corrections
Others take dozens of adjustents to dial in
The Bushur parts usually work the best and we get them tuned in short order
