FPR needed for this dynoflash setup?

Hey Al and all,

I am going to have my car dynoflashed in early August, and I was wondering if I could benefit from an adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator with the following mods that I will have on my car:

Walbro fuel pump, Greddy 720 injectors, HKS 272 cams, Fidanza cam gears w/retarded timing, 3" turbo-back exhaust w/ no cat, RMR intake, Pruven big FMIC, RMR FMIC piping, ARP bolts, SAFC-2, Magnecor wires.

Also, what if I added an upgraded fuel rail with the FPR? Would I see any gains with a dynoflash on stock turbo? or is the stock FPR and fuel rail sufficient for the stock turbo, maxxed out with the mods I have?

and the decade old question: what should my WHP be?

Every evo will benefit from a GOOD adjustable fuel pressure regulator such as the Aeormotive which pruven sells as part of its kit

I would never run my Evo on the stock regulator - they really suck

You get much more smooth and accurate fuel pressure changes with the adjustable regulator - the stock regualtor is a real cheap pos and it does not work that well

I use the stock rail on my car and it seems to be fine up to 550 whp

OF COURSE - anyone addding a aftermarket regulator will need a complete custom tuned reflash - we do not support cars with fuel pressure regulators through the mail

your mods usually see about 320 - 325 whp on pump gas and 340 - 355 on race fuel - those are averages

Would the LancerShop EVO Bolt On Fuel Press. Regulator be sufficient? There is a $100 difference between the lancershop FPR and the Pruven FPR....

Keep in mind that I plan on a bigger turbo next year.

One last question for ya Al:

Are you going to be at Pruven in August or September for dyno tunes? I plan on having some of these parts put on by Pruven around then. Let me know when your gonna be there, if ya can
