I have a cone-type Buschur Filter, and as far as I can tell the only "advantage" of that over the box w/k&n is you can hear the turbo spool and blow-off, which I like. Definitely if you add a higher-flow filter, you'll need to get flashed, because on an otherwise stock setup, more air flow will make the car's computer compensate and actually lower your performance.

I know the HKS Racing Suction kit WILL add some HP if tuned correctly. It increases airflow due to the body of the intake tube (cone shaped, AKA Velocity Stack, That whole Physics thing where air will flow faster thru a smaller area (Bernoulli Effect)).
Al (Dynoflash) has had some good results.

Hey, I know tons of people have asked questions regarding intakes and which is best, but I was planning on getting the HKS RS... is it bad a filtering? and does it really make you run lean? Doesn't running lean cause potential detonation and harm to your engine?
