BR500 pump gas reflash - 378 whp!

Here is our favorite customer Evo8power's new dyno sheet we just did today on the BR500 turbo kit

Guys - let me tell you when I drove this sucker on the road after the flash was done it was PERFECT - what an amazing and lovely turbo.

There is no zero lag between shifts and it pulls hard to the red line

It seems that the HKS suction kit necking down was the problem with his car having lag the last time and the change over to a FULL Buschur Stage 4 kit solved the lag issues

I hope that Evo8power will add his driving impressions - but I was simply amazed with the power and the smoothness. Over all a great kit for the $ and super fast

There is a lot of controversy over in the other areas of the forum regarding Evo8power's dyno results and the results he obtained earlier in the week at another tuning house

There are a lot of comments being made about me personally that are just totally unfounded and wrong. Its funny how when ever something positive or successful is posted on here by one of my customers the same few haters feel compelled to detract from what has been done and spew negative attacks and slanderous comments.

I prefer to let my results speak for themselves and not get down into the level of attacking people on a personal basis.

Here is the dyno sheet from evo8power.

Note the conditions where very high heat and 100% humidity - raining so the dyno results were low. The above sheet is corrected - these numbers that follow are uncorrected.

When evo8power rolled in with his Brand "X" flash - no names will be mentioned. - thats run # 35. It was odd that he was making such little power at a high pump gas boost of 24 psi. I logged his ignition timing and it was very retarded, possibly due to knock induced timing corrections - but I am not sure.

By run 42 we had left the boost 100% the same and I think we had increased the spooling up, smoothed out the curve and were making a LOT more whp. In fact we were making even more whp than Brand "X" had claimed the car was supposed to be making (349 whp).

Personally - I felt that 24 psi was a bit high on pump gas so we simply turned down the boost to 20 psi - run number 47 and got 335 to the wheels.

The smoothness of my dyno sheets speak to our skill and talent in reflash tuning.

All the trash talking you see is from supporters of competing tuning houses - not from our over 700 satisfied customers.

Nice looking dynosheet, from the looks of it the car should really kick from 3400 on up, prob giving a sense of that lagged feeling due to the large spike in power but the car looks like it would pull relatively flat to 7500 which should finally get EVO 8s trap speeds in line with where they should be. For the record though, with most of the controversey over brand "x's" 309whp dynosheet, down large from the previous run do you know of any possible changes that were made to the car by EVO8 which could account for this discrepancy considering all parties who've had a chance to work with this car are respected professionals.

I have no idea why the car was running so low on the dyno other than the really miserable dyno conditions today which would prob result in at least a 12 - 15 whp reduction in any dyno numbers.

Also - keep in mind Brand X said that they only did the tune as a favor and only did 4 pulls on the dyno. Maybe they did not spend enough time to determine if there was any knock activity in higher gears and see if the ecu was starting to pull timing ?? Just a theory as the timing was so low on this car I was suprised it even made 309 whp

I am not out to bash Brand X's tuning

I am only trying to show everyone that the Buschur Turbo kit is really good - even at very low boost and that the Buschur Flash is a viable option to get decent results

YOU DO NOT NEED A AEM to have your car running well with a larger turbo

Sure you can make more power with a AEM - but don't discount the reflash technology as a viable - lower cost solution which gives you decent power and stock like driveability

Nice job Al.
I know that evo8power has been plaqued with one problem or another.
Kev - I hope you are finding some happiness now.

Also - this whole ordeal serves as an example of how critical it is to have a thought out plan for making power.
You would think that you can take most parts out there and put together a good package, but it doesn't appear to be the case.

Al, you are the man.. again! Don't let the haters get to you. That dyno sheat looks sweet and I'm quite sure the car will perform very well at the track. It just sickens me to see these tuner zealots trying to come up with any excuse under the sun for you being wrongn or crooked.

The bottom line is, you are in it for the love of the evo community, and to make all the owners love their cars. And that is something to be respected.

Goodn f'n job!

Thanks man. Yes the lag is significantly reduced. The way it feels on the road is totally different than it looks on the dyno. Comapred to my HKS 3037s set up which costs 2 1/2 times more money the Br500 is much more pleasant to drive and much more streetable. Amazingly the boost actually rises up slightly as the revs increase to the red line. A great turbo with lots of potential !

Nice seeing the charts all put together over top of each other. Very good tune, thanks for getting this car closer to where it should be. It should run really well now!
