Its ON ! Dyno Flash evo ready for attack !

Its that time of the year when our thoughts go out to Ohio farmland and racing at the DSM shootout

As a result of my latest volley of mods, I exceeded the capacity of the Exedy twin carbon clutch and ny fuel system

Newly installed - rail - lines and twin walbro pumps - plenty of fuel now

And the mack dady of all clutches - the Exedy Triple Disk CARBON !!!! Let me tell you - this is the ultimate clutch ever created - its silky smooth like stock engagement and its even quieter than the twin !

And yes - it held the power 555 whp (AWD) at 32 psi of boost

After a few dyno pulls I basically stopped tuning because at these power levels anything can happen and its really not worth taking a chance and blowing something up at the last minute

I feel there is another 30 - 50 whp with some more tuning and boost

The coolest thing was taking a short ride today to break in the clutch and going in stop and go shopping traffic - a/c on and talking on the cell phone with a guy at Exedy telling them how great the new triple clutch is and realizing I am driving a 550 whp car like a normal diualy driver - power

See you all in Ohio !

You need a nice shot of nitrous to cap it off, like 150 shot

I always thought Tilton and ATS made the best clutches around...

I have heard George at Boost Solutions also raving about this new clutch at a recent BBQ he showed several of us this clutch new in the box expensive but should handle just about everything you could throw at it. I believe that he is putting it in his Evo soon. Good luck Al at the next race.

The Sparco evo was testing the ATS tripple carbon - they were doing some runs for a TV Show called Red Line TV - some 0 - 60 runs and they broke the transmission and front diff right at the line in one shot

My point is - a good clutch gives you modulation and a smooth progressive engagement - NOT a on / off switch like engagement

Sparco is the only other car in North America which has this new triple carbon exedy

and PS - Exedy is the original OEM suplier for all Subaru and Mitsubishi vehicles - they are about 20 times the size of any other aftermarket clutch supplier. I tell you that the technology behind the Exedy Hyper Carbon series is totally revolutionary and results in a clutch that is very smooth - progrossive and streetable while providing super light weight and fast shifts.

Thanks

I was shocked to discover that the Cusco clutch I have in my car said Exedy on the side....inquiring, I was informed that many of the parts and design features are Daiken clutch...really wild how big they actually are.

I never ran the HKS

From what I have seen the HKS is really hard to launch smoothly

BTW - The Exedy Hyper Single is a really fantastic unit for the regular user and at $849.99 shipped (Dyno Flash price) (with the chrome molly flywheel and alum clutch cover!) its a deal !

That a carbon hyper single or no? Either way that looks like a crazy price considering the ACT with flywheel is about the same if not more. Which is a better product anyway ACT or Exedy Single?

That is a ceramometalic disk - same as twin only one disk. Its good up to 350 whp

Consider this - ACT is a Exedy clutch with modified spring and painted yellow

How much does the ACT hold cause I will be needing a clutch real soon. With my Sig add U-Racings Garrett T3 turbo with 900 CC's. Think getting a bit past the capacity of the stock clutch hehe. Also any word on those RA-1's al? I am going to Pruven next Friday when I put the turbo in so I can get it tuned.
