Attn Al: JUN 264 cam cards

Can you scan or take a pic of the cam cards for your JUN 264's?

They are JUN - no materials are needed - they are simply the best

Exactly..

I'm oohhhh so close to plunking down the cash for these cams, but the information surrounding them is so tight lipped it almost scares me away. Being you've 'successfully' used both the 264's and now the 272's you've obviously got a understanding of these cams. Not to mention awhile back during a PM conversation we had, you mentioned all your cam testing was done with the stock turbo. This is why I've seen you a few PM's (never answered) regarding the 264 grind specificly.

I'd just like to see or have you tell me a little about the powerband these camshafts provide over well known bumpsticks such as the HKS's. What does the increased lift do to low-end torque figures with stock sized turbochargers? I really could ask a million questions, but I'd be more than happy if you could take the time to give a summerized 'report' of how these cams stack up to the HKS's in terms of power delivery. I'm not TOO concerned with idle, but dont want a idle of a top fuel car either. Obviously you feel these are superior, and I suspect that as well (in terms of power production). What about wear? Do you feel these things will last 100K in a motor spinning no faster than 8K?

I've got means to tune (fuel and timing, no, not EManage) these things but want to know if you could give me some form of base flash for these? Please PM me if you need, I'd love to discuss some options with you.

Damn. Forgot to add. How do you know where to set the valve events if they dont come with specifications? are they designed to be used "straight up"?

I don't mind telling you guys about which BOV to use or which intake is the best - but there is some stuff that I just can not discuss with anyone ! How to set the JUN cams is one of those things that I rather keep to myself.

IF you have a dyno and a lot of time on your hands you will come to the same conslusions that I have regarding how to set up these evo motors

Very much understood and respected. I wasnt asking how to set these up. I was more or less asking if these were ground ....cant think of the term... "on center" in respect to the OEM cams. I hope that makes sense. More or less. COULD you run these out of the box until you have them tuned on the dyno?

I've got all the time in the world when it comes to setting up my EVO. It's driven about 5K a year and only when its 'nice' outside. Its my little pet..

Could/Would you give me some form of base flash for these. I've got a wideband, knock link, dyno, and the ability to tune both fuel and timing. I just need something 'close'. Is that something you can do?

The reality is that you dont want to run JUN cams on a evo with a air flow meter - its just very difficult to get it to idel well

The HKS are designed for the cars with air flow meters and stock ecus

As far as the JUN 272 there is no way they will ever run on the stock air flow meter

You can run the Jun cams with the stock cam gears

so you cannot run the 264s with the stock mass air sensor and stock ecu? Do you have to have a stand-alone to run those cams or will a good dynotune be enough?

I want to run these cams because I know they are supposed to give more hp and more low end tq than the HKS's
