Al, Do I need another reflash?

Hey Al. I want to buy the HKS RS kit. I got a custom tune from you when you came to tampa. Will I need another reflash after I install this kit?

Most likely, yes. An intake will change the air flow that your MAF is interpreting. Al will be down here in Orlando in a few weeks though; you should be OK if you don't drive the car super hard until then.

err....i would not put that kit on until you get the tune done. You could go too lean and melt a piston.

You shi!!Tin me!! I thought its just another intake kit - more air = more fuel. Why would I go lean. But very well. I will sign up for that Orlando tune.

Correct - the HKS RS intake really alters the maf reading in a very consistant and distinct pattern which results in a super lean a/f ratio in the middle of the power band

Adding that intake on a car flashed for a different intake only makes matters worse

The good new is that with our flash for the HKS RS intake the a/f winds up perfect and the HKS kit makes really great power gains !
