24 psi at 7000 rpm? Impressive. I was hoping I might be able to get to 400 whp with my mods (plus an ETS FMIC 3.5" coming soon), because Lucas had pretty good luck getting 400 whp out of his black Evo 8 with pretty minimal mods. After seeing some of the recent dyno data showing E85 Evo IXs toping out at 380 whp with basic mods and this car only reaching 400 whp, I'm becoming very doubtful that I'll get to 400 whp with only a few simple mods.

One question: Does that Evo IX have the stock DV?

MrFred,

Isn't a Wastegate Actuator and a DV (Diverter Valve) the same thing? Says in the mod list "Forge Wastegate Actuator"... assuming that is the Forge Wastegate Actuator with the 18 psi spring. Not being smart... just asking the question.

Nope those are different things. The WGA is part of the WG system that bleeds air past the turbine. The DV bleeds air pressure between the compressor and the intake manifold when the throttle is released.

It's a FPgreen. There is still a little more in it up top as far as boost. I am having him come back once he drives the car around for a couple weeks.

It has a Tomei BOV.

I am looking forward to seeing what the stock IX turbos can do on E85 on our dyno. I would imagine around 380 or so, we will see.

Remember Lucas's results are on a dynojet.

I saw the light awhile ago from all the results I have seen. I just had to wait for E85 to come to the Bay Area. First station opened on the 4th. I was there pumping on the 8th. haha

How far away is the E85 station from your shop?

Holy Crap Bryan.

I cannot wait until my MIL.SPEC engine build has finished. A stroker + FP Red + Bryan's magic is going to = HEAVEN!!!

I think we'll need to figure out a double pump solution, because I don't think 1000 cc injectors plus my build is going to be enough.

This makes me happy. Power to the corn

About 30 miles. There is one opening up 10 miles away in the beginning of Sept.

ive been tempted to switch to e85, but i have a question. if i was to put in the double pumper and the 1000cc injectors, would i still be able to do a straight 93 map as well? how is the car going run with 1000's on 93 and 2 fuel pumps, can it be tuned correctly? i have e85 not too far away, but to far to use everyday. so id use it for a race map instead of my q16 map.

Im on 1200s and a dual pump and ran 93oct driving all the way to the shootout. My second pump is activated via a Hobbs switch so I dont even have to mess with it on 93oct since thats my "gas saving" tune.

I know based off Bryan's logs that the green still had some room....do you guys think the red will peg the idc w/ 1000cc's and 1 fp? (thanks for all the info Bryan)

Things look promising for us CA guys in the SF Bay Area (Lord knows we need a break on fuel costs .........especially race fuel)

Anyone need a Buschur double pumper i have one sitting at the shop but have yet to decide if i'm going to stay with this size turbo or not........

I'm diggin the idea of running my car on a stock 9 turbo but all the rest of my current mods (i/m, 75mm tb, i/c, aem)

How do you think that would run.......overkill????
