Had a stock turbo Evo 9 in to get a E85 tune. This is a very basic bolt on Evo set up for autocross.
TBE no cat
Open Air Filter
RC1000cc injectors
Walboro
GM 3 port + JDM map using PSI-based ECU boost control
Nisei LICP
FP WGA
Stock Cams
Stock 02 housing
Stock Turbo
No porting
Gains of 73whp/62wtq over 91 oct
Gains of 45whp/28wtq over 100 oct
The car was laggier then previous tuning sessions. We usually see the car spool better with E85 but I am thinking the FP upgraded actuator was starting to go and made the spool lazy, we have seen about 4 of these failures on evos that see good heat on track/autox.
Other than the spool, awesome gains with this awesome fuel.

Nice gains! But...you have to attribute them to the increase in boost and timing enabled by E-85. Now, if the boost and timing tables remained the same then that would be a different story.

That said, with the same 100 octane map, only scaling the injectors for E85, it made 15wtq more than 100.
The last E85 car I tuned it made 25wtq more with the same 91 oct map, just putting E85 in and rescaling injectors, then made 55wtq more after tuning.

Very nice power gains. Have you logged your fuel mileage on e85? Ive heard a car averaging 20mpg on pump would get around 15mpg on e85. I tried tuning out a tank a few months back and went through 6 gallons in roughly 30 miles. Obviously it wasnt tuned perfect yet, but I know the mpg isnt the same.

Another guy I tuned on E85 just reported he is getting only 2-3mpg less on average.
Why would anyone put in different fuel and keep the tune the same

Everything in the tune was changed for E85.
Boost, Timing, AFR, mivec, cruise/idle/part-throttle timing, cranking IPW, idle, injector scaling and latency values, etc etc
