Fuel rail-e85?
cycloc, anyone can quote you something from the service manual...........I have one, you want to borrow it? Now take a volt meter and probe the power wire for the primary pump and drive the car. You will then see that regardless of load the pump goes to 12v's at 2500 rpm on 2003-2004 EVO's. I am speaking from experience, not what I read. The '03-'04 EVO's are the only two I have actually checked this on. I'd guess that all EVO8-9's operate the same way.
That is fine, experience matters a lot. I was just quoting what the engineers of the car put in the manual. This is getting off topic, lets keep just drop it and get back on topic to help mrfred. If you have a problem PM me.

Just pointing out, and agreeing with you, that the pumps that are modded DO last and not fail.
ok back to topic
