cycloc, anyone can quote you something from the service manual...........I have one, you want to borrow it? Now take a volt meter and probe the power wire for the primary pump and drive the car. You will then see that regardless of load the pump goes to 12v's at 2500 rpm on 2003-2004 EVO's. I am speaking from experience, not what I read. The '03-'04 EVO's are the only two I have actually checked this on. I'd guess that all EVO8-9's operate the same way.

Not the point of what i said. You read a little to far into it. But thanks I have my own. I was an electrician for 5 years. And now a mechanic for about 5.

Just pointing out, and agreeing with you, that the pumps that are modded DO last and not fail.
