I'm doing the same thing soon, so i change the injector scaling 30% smaller, thus giving the car 30% more fuel, does this sound right?

Exactly.

You will still need to log fuel trims and make adjustments based on your findings, but 30% is a good starting point. I had to make two adjustments to the scaling to dial things in.

I would set them 30% smaller and drive around for 1 full tank. Then on the second tank start looking at your fuel trims and then make any minor adjustments.

This assumes you already have the trims balanced with the latencies, if not you'll need to do that as well.
