Tephra Map switch is a waste of time, E-85 sucks
The only thing sucky about E85 is literally how much of the stuff the engine sucks in.
Making the big power for $2.60 a gallon is WIN! People always come up to me at the track and ask how much power my car is making, because it pulls like a beast out of the straight by the bleachers, and it's loud. Then I tell them it runs on E85 and they are like
I tell them it makes more power than race gas, cost as much as regular, and hippies love it.

You IDIOTS who claim to be happy paying 2.60 a gallon or whatever it is you are paying are delusional. E85 has half the thermal efficiency of 91 so therefore you are filling up twice as often, thus you are paying over 5 bucks a gallon.
I understand it provides a big hit but at what cost? AFAIK it is also pretty damned corrosive so have fun with that also. What are all you fanboys going to do when the government stops subsidizing it?
Guess it's all well and good if you live in the Midwest but you don't see much of it out here on the West coast.

First off it only requires 30% more fuel so it's equal to $3.36 a gallon (mile to mile). Have you priced 105 octane race gas lately? It's not even in the same ballpark. Almost all newer cars have fuel systems that are able to withstand e85 so I don't see an issue there. Sound like yer jealous that there isn't much arround you.

GST has a post on here showing what their engine looks like on 2 years of E85 so pause on the corrosive comment. Also like I said I miss about 50 miles tops on e-85........it only works out to be a little more expensive then 93 on E85 for me.
You can't even get 93 so I understand how frustrated you must be.......but don't make up crap because you can't get E-85. There are a lot more people here smarter then you and I that have dispelled the myths about running E85

been playing with e85 lately and I'm waaaay hooked. I drive 1.5 hours one way to fill up a 55 gal drum or two, it's well worth it. Q16 is about 10-15.00 a gallon here, fug that.

I know I wasn't getting 450 to a tank on pump. I think I may have it 300 a couple of times though. I'm not worried about the corrosiveness either- I bought the anti-corrosive package from the dealer.
