100 octane tune for daily driver

I was thinking about getting a race gas tune. Would it be possible to get the tune for 100oct., and turn down the boost to run 93 pump gas on occasion, if necessary?

it's also timing, right?

Why not tune for both and just use map switching as needed?

Gear, thats what I'm hoping. Goofy, thats an option, with a Cobb AP, but it would be nice if i didn't have to buy that.

you have an evo 8 , your tunner should be able to switch maps and i think you use the IC sprayer switch. you cant do this on a IX, i had to flash the car on my IX back and foward to pump and race gas.

You don't need a cobb ap, you can get tuned and use tephra's map switching(based on the IC sprayer if you have it or a switch you can add on).

Search around for tephra map switching.

You can get this for a IX or an 8 I believe if you don't want to use your ICS switch.

There are instructions for how to build the switch here on the board somewhere, but I can't seem to find them right now.

Ok I'll have to check into that tephra mod. That would be a great alternative. My IC sprayer is not working anyway, since i upgraded the intercooler.

As long as you still have the ICS switch in the center console still wired in then you can use it to tune switch maps via the Tephra roms.

If not, you can wire in a switch/button.
