a couple Noob e85 questions
If you plan on going with a Red in the near future, buy some 1450s so you do the injector upgrade once.
You don't want to run e85 without a map for it. Talk to your tuner and see what process he recommends.
I agree with what was said earlier about switching the fuel when your light is on (saves you the hassle of draining it). But it depends if you are going to your tuner of if he can come to you. If you're only tuning it once, it is safer to have the tune with some 93 in it so don't drain it. Also, don't worry about horsepower numbers, having some 93 in it will not hurt your number too much.
This process was cost-effective for me and time efficient:
Drove car about 20 miles after light when on. (when light is on, it means you have about 2 gallons left)
I installed the new injectors.
Tuner came and flashed my injectors for 93.
We drove to my local e85 station and then reflash.

i dont have 93 available in my area. i was just gonna run it down to the gas light and drive to the shop with two 5gal tanks of e85 to put in the car and switch the injectors once i get to the shop
I would recommend to run tephra v7 with map switching. That way you can go back and forth from gas to E85 without having to flash or needing a laptop. As long as your tuner can set it up, that's the best route.
I have on 05 as well, have self tuned myself from the beginning, and I'm currently running on E85 using Tephra V7. It's actually very easy to tune and install your new injectors (but I understand if you don't want to do it).
I live close to you and would offer to help you out, but I barely have time for my own car anymore and it looks like you are all set. But, if you do decide to tune yourself, just visit the ECUFlash forum.

I also recommend the tephra options, but I would just see if you can find the way to add them to a standard rom. I have alternate map switching, CEL flashing for knock, NLTS, Valet mode, all optional on my standard 94170015 rom.
