Question on e85 conversion

Well I have an ix mr and am getting tuned for e85 soon. I have a wally 255 fic 1050's and some other bolts ons. I heard it would be good for me to get a 25psi wastegate? I am going to be at 28psi. Is this a necessity?

No, not a necessity. It would help just to keep the boost better up top. I run 29 psi. With an 18 psi wastegate and make 411/391.

My tuner had me install a GM 3 port boost solenoid prior to running E85 (running 27.5psi)

Minus, that is because you are running ECU-controlled boost....are you still running with the stock WG? That is the question from the OP. For my tune, I am running with the stock WG, and regularly run around on 26 psi.

Yes Sir, stock WG. I guess the point I was trying to make, is the OP can run the higher PSI's w/out modding the WG, just add the boost solenoid

Keep the alcohol flowing BTW, not a peep out of the OP
