Switching to E-85...

Hey guys,
So I currently have an accessport by cobb, and am wanting to get 2 maps tuned, one for E-85 and one for 91, Anyone doing this? how hard is it too switch back and forth? Also I got a good deal on some injector clinic 750cc injectors, should I use these, Wanting around 400whp..
Thanks

A lot of us run dual maps. You will need a tune on 91 & one for E85 (obviously will take some time clearing out the 91 before the switch)

All though Ive never switched, Simply run your car to near empty & fill w/the other fuel. Because of the residual fuel left, the engine will not be performing optimally until after the initial tank full. Dont hammer on it
I have a mechanical switch on my ECU (running the older Tephra Mod V5). Not sure about the Cobb tune, but I would consider just running the basic Tephra V7 so you wont need a mechanical switch. (It works off of the gas pedal depress mode)

Yes, you can run the 750cc, but dont expect the magical 400whp (DynoJet no.) I ran 750's for almost a year at 380whp (Approx 95% injector duty cycle)
Run 1000cc min. (Not sure what mods you have but you have an 03, so hitting 400whp needs a bit more than a 9

Just my .02

Joe

Can't wait to get my injectors and pump put in. On my Subaru during the winter the car was a bit harder to turn over (had to prime the engine before starting) is this a standard with ethonal
Have any of you evo guys Experianced this.

I would go with some better injector than 750. Go with either 1050, or 1250. Switching between 91 and e85 is real simple, your tuner can make u a switch, in my case I switch it over a gas pedal

Im tuned on both 91 and e85 through ecu flash, the switch is made via gas pedal. 750cc is generally too low and considering its best to do things once and do it right you should go with at least 1000cc injectors or larger, e85 uses roughly 25% more fuel than your gas tune and will require a larger injector than gasoline. 1000cc will get you 400whp no problem and that power is made fairly easily.

Switching to E-85 is definitely worth it, hopefully your tuner can squeeze the immense potential power out of using E-85.

Changing my setup as we speak to run from 93 to e85. I changed my injectors from 1200s to 2150s and also upgraded my stock fuel rail to the BR fuel rail IOT get more fuel. I am also running the BR double pumper but have been for a few months.

Just made 520hp and 490tq on a Mustang Dyno at Spec-Ops Motorsports with my setup. IMO the 750s will be way too small. As far as switching, I switch back and forth from e85 to 93 with ECUFlash. You have an 03 so someone correct me if I'm wrong but you should also be able to change maps using your IC sprayer switch. I know I have that option on ECUFlash.
