Start it up and smell the exhaust. It will have a distinctly different and corny smell if its on E85.

Not knowing what fuel was in the tank & from another country, I would just pull the drain plugs & start w/fresh domestic fuel

That was the plan, I was more curious to get in touch with the previous owner so i can asked him about the history of the car and the mods that he installed on it.
The funny thing is that my country produces ethanol for the petrol companies, but we can't buy E85 internal, it's only for export. When I was racing my evo7 in the hillclimb championship I had to buy E85 from Hungary.

Any responsible tuner should tune in a margin of safety so you should be fine getting on it by the 2nd full tank.

Or you can call your tuner and ask him how to switch maps.
Yeah, same thing I used to do. However, I purchased my car only to find out it already had a dual tune on it, so there was no one to contact and ask specifics about. I never had too much trouble switching, as long as the red light was on. Never had issues, except that first start from switching over. It was always a bit finicky, but quickly relearned.
