ECUflash before and after dyno results!

Baseline run was with the stock 05 ROM

finished ROM is after extensive tuning to learn the in's and out's of ECUflash

Specs...
05' MR 35000 miles

Custom Quiet Power Speed Element TBE
Speed Element 5 bolt cam gears
Cosworth M2 11.0 camshaft
Cosworth headstuds
Revolver Springs & Retainers
Hallman MBC
Walboro Fuel Pump
AMS intercooler
JDM MR BOV

Stock airbox with stock filter
Stock injectors
Stock ECU programmed with ECUflash
Stock 05 turbo

91 octane california tree hugger expensive gas

Thanks to Paul at EIP for collaborating with me on my car. With his help we really learned the in's and out's of ECUflash. We were particularily impressed with the speed of the reflash and impressive list of features.

it is running mid 11's from peak tq to the mid range then it slopes to 11.1 by redline.

Great job!
I assume that the base run has same hardware as the ECUFlashed run. If so, it is amazing to see some 70+ HP and tq gain in the mid range.

The only changes were fuel and timing? No parts or boost changes?

Tuning is proven to have a dramatic affect on improving the output of a modified car.. Simply put, the ECU is optimized for a particular combination, altering that, throws off quite a few things, so you may gain some power by adding bolt-ons, the majority of the gains the bolt-ons offer are found after a good tune. This actually is a good demonstration of that. (assuming nothing was changed before/after but the tune.)

the baseline had the same exact parts. boost on baseline was about 20 peak which i consider a tuning parameter was changed as well as standard efi stuff.

so how much boost was run on the base line and how much on the tuned run? we need an apples to apples comparison.

peak boost on the baseline run was about 20 psi with a taper the way my car is setup with the cams and cam timing it is difficult to give you a boost number.

This is an apples to apples comparison already, cuz the you can't run the kind of boost I'm running now unless your car is tuned precisely.

The baseline is basically the items i listed with 20 psi of boost peak and the stock rom.

In terms of what boost I'm running now needless to say its "higher" that 20 psi. We made over 85 passes on the dyno and i just checked my plugs and they look great, very clean with no deposits on the porcelain of the plugs.

A bit OT... did you do the wire mod or the jumper mod on your ECU+? Thanks.
