honki24, those links require a username/password.

A general rule-of-thumb when you're making changes to your ECU - especially the timing, fuel, and boost maps - make the changes in small steps, then drive your car around and log. At the very least you'll want to log: RPM, timing, AFR, knock

Also remember that the amount of timing you can run will be determined to a large degree (pun intended) by how much boost you are running. On 93 octane, 23psi of boost will not allow you to run nearly as much timing as 21 psi would.

Could someone please tell me how the EvoScan logs knock?

IIRC, Evoscan logs the knock counts reported by the ECU via the MUTII/MUTIII protocol.

I think that knock sensor voltage*(ECU knock filter algorithm) = knock count

fixed! yeah, I'm pretty familiar w/ the terms of tuning from the ecu+. How accurate would the evoscan knock detection be? I've been watching knock w/ ecu+ and its sort of difficult to determine @ what voltage you have knock. How reliable is this "count" method? Zero knock is tuning for a knock count of zero correct? How bad is a count of 1? 2? 3? etc?

You cannot add columns to the existing map. What you have to do is remove a couple of columns (I chose the 70 and 90 load columns), shift everything over in the table and edit the load column headers to reflect the new scale (60,80,100 .... 260,280,300).

I guess I should post a how-to.

Yea please post a how to, because I did that and I am not sure how I am hitting the 280 and 300 column at 20psi. So I think it may be wrong. What I did was interpolate the values for the ones that were removed and adjust the header like you stated, is that correct?.
