Starting to tune.. logs and such inside
Ok guys I just got my zt2 hooked up so I did some "baseline pulls" tonight.
Little background on the weather/car.
85f 70% humidity
Full specs on my car: http://www.justchil.net/evo_mods.html
Basically BR stage 4 - hks264's - 20G-9-5 - 93 octane
Custom dynoflashed last winter with 20G-9-6/ minus the radiator and a few other minor changes
Pull was 2nd 3rd and 4th up to about 5900rpm.
Optionally you can download the software here: http://www.zeitronix.com/images/ZDL_...ationFiles.zip
And this logfile here: http://justchil.net/dl/evo/logs/1a.zto
And the CSV:
http://justchil.net/dl/evo/logs/1a.csv
I'll update this post as needed.
Crap for got my fuel/timing maps. The only change that was made is in the 260 column on the fuel chart. the only 11.4 in the column was changed to 14.6 in the logs above.

Here are a few changes...

Uhh.. if you're talking about the logfile look above that link for a link to the software.
I've made a few minor changes. I need to get a good way of monitoring knock before I go much further. She's holding boost pretty good. From 22psi to 20psi at 7450.
I'll post up my new maps along with logs as soon as I get them sorted out.
Edit: I'm going to upload all my changes in the morning. I have a 24" HD LCD @ work... makes comparing these a little easier on the eyes

Wow, your logs show your really rich. do you think thats because you changed to the buschur 20g-9-5? did you feel a difference between both turbos.
my friend has almost the same mods as you do with a different fmic, 680cc injectors and the 20g-9-6. his maps look almost the exact same with lower a/f numbers on the high load columns (ofcourse because of the 680's). i mean it even suddenly drops at the same cell and reads constant for the same number of cells. the timing map is the exact same. he was tuned by AL with buschur's dyno and did 310whp.
does your car have a really bad cold start idle and, sometimes, if it is REALLY cold, will it die? i am suprised as to why Al didn't simply change the injector scaling and the latency compensation? maybe he didn't have the ability to do that with his software.

Yeah it is rich :\ It leans out up top.. I added a slight amount of fuel at 7500 to lower the AFR back to 11.1 which also lowered the EGT's below 1600.
There is a difference but as far as AFR's are concerned it's been so long I'm not really sure. I was tuned by Al.. same dyno but with 780cc injectors.
The car idles pretty good even in the cold.. but it's garage kept so it doesnt see any extreme temps. The car has been stalling here and there when I pull it out of gear from 3000rpm on. I've yet to figure this one out but I'm going to try adjust my APS BOV a little bit and see what happens.

Your maps have been done by an experienced tuner, but to my eyes (experienced Subaru tuner and dabbling on the Evo) they look plain weird.
Usually with RPM and load you expect smooth changes from cell to cell generally running in a predictable direction. As it is your fuel map especially is full of peaks and troughs and makes little sense to my simple brain.
Personally I'd like to adjust MAF and injector scalings to get values in the fuel map that reflect approximately to wideband O2 readings (I used to do this even when ditching the MAF sensor and using my MAF simulator box and with larger capacity engines, different heads/cams, much larger injectors). Then I would think of a 3x3 fuel table with smooth transitions in between:
RPM vac atmo boost
1000 14.7 14.7 14.7
4000 14.7 14 11.5
7000 12.5 12 11.5
Also on the ignition tables, why does it not change for load? That has to be suboptimal to my mind because you don't need the same timing at 140 and 260% load? If it doesn't det at 260% then you are surely too retarded at 140%?
No disrespect intended, but am I missing some key point here?

I just uploaded my minor changes... kinda hard to compare because so little was changed. Still kinda rich but i'm not going to lean it out much more until I have something to log knock with.

Ahh this weather is making tuning rough. I knocked out a lil more fuel to try to get the AFR's up a lil bit with not much luck. It's 94f with 45% humidity right now.
I'll go out tonight when the temps are about what they were last night
Bump for any suggestions/comments!
