That's definitely not correct. The latency (net time for the injectors to open and close) of the injectors is dependent on the voltage that the injectors see. The injectors take power straight from the battery. The 11 volt value sets the latency when the injectors are seeing 11 volts, and as razorlab implied, your car should never be operating at 11 volts except perhaps when starting.

Well assuming those trims are correct then I dont think its an injector scaling/latency problem. Although if you have the full log (where you can see the trims changing @ idle) that would be good to see.

Maybe your fuel filter is blocked?

Have you got any other symptoms?

If what you say is true try changing the value plus or minus .5 and see what happens to your cruise trims. I agree the car never sees 11 volts but it definitely drops well below 14 during cruising speeds. The car really doesn't see 14.7 volts either for that matter during idle my car is around 14 to maybe 14.4. I believe the ecu interpolates between the 14 and 11 value during cruise and hard throttle application.

Everyones mileage may vary but I have logged this over and over while trying to dial in my FIC 1000's let me know if anyone tries it I'm really interested to see

My car idles in the 13.9 range and cruises in the 13.6 ranges....there's really not enough difference for me to think changing my latency at 11 volts would change one trim anymore than the other...

Indeed, the ECU does interpolate between latency values if the voltage is between two table value. I've never seen my car below 13.8 V except when cranking the starter, so for my setup, the 14.06 V latency controls pretty much everything. If you car gets down to the mid- or low- 13 V range, then the 11.72 V latency will play a role. The ECU uses simple linear interopolation, so if the voltage is, for instance, 13.3 V, then the latency used by the ECU will be 67% of the 14.06 V value + 33% of the 11.72 V value.

Thanks for the reply so this does explain why changing the 11 volt Does effect the cruise trims for my vehicle

I have a different motor (4g64), but.....

my idle is usually around low 12v, and jumps to 14v whenever the throttle is pressed, even a little bit. That being said, the 11.7v range is very much so affecting the low trim, and the 14v directly affects the mid. This may be because the alternator pulley is slightly larger than stock for me.

Yes, in your case, the 11.7 V latency will determine the idle trim.

I'm going to get a FIC 750cc set, does anyone had experience with scaling and latency for this model? Maybe similar to PTE 780?

I'd also like to point out to people (if you're not already aware) changing the other latency values other than 11.72 and 14.07 will affect trims as well.....

Latency Log #1 Log #2
4.700 - 4.152 4.056
7.000 - 2.784 2.112
9.340 - 1.488 1.152
11.68 - 0.912 0.912
14.07 - 0.696 0.696
16.35 - 0.384 0.552
18.70 - 0.240 0.456

As you can see I didn't change my values in the 11.68 and 14.07. My car always idles in the 13.5-13.9 range and yet by making these changes in the upper and lower ends.....

Log #1=0.49199 at idle
Log #2=-1.0758 at idle

Just thought I'd throw that out there....

Thinking about upgrading to FIC 1150cc injectors (currently have FIC 1050cc). Does anyone have scaling and latency values they can share?
