Time to reflash?

How long does it take for the flash to complete? Also, is there a upper limit of how many times you can flash a IXs ecu

Sorry for the n00b questions, im a STi guy possibly buying a IX, just investigating the EM possibilities. I have the AP now, so having 10 maps and being able to flash on the fly is pretty nice

Hi

Takes about 15 seconds to flash, from clicking the OK.

lol, very nice. I was a bit worried about losing the multiple map capablity. I'll just need to keep a laptop in the car at all times I assume?

The cobb unit takes 30minutes to so to reflash a base ECU map, 30 seconds to reload a real time map

There really isnt much point to reflash very often, all you really need is probably a pump gas map, a race gas map and maybe a valet mode for when you leave it at the shop. ive personally never had a need to swap on the fly.

basically thats all I would need. I was just worried that it would be the like AP, since a true flash of the suby ecu via the AP takes 30+ minutes as I stated. But yeah, I would want a base map, meth/race gas map, a valet map, and maybe fuel saver map, lol. Seems like some of the speedelement guys do some nice ecuflash tuning
