Anyone DD with ACD flash?

Like the title says, anyone here on the forums DD their evo with the ACD flash with no mods to their Diff? State who you got your flash from. How much better does the car handle?

If I could have done only one mod on the car this would be it.

No downsides for DD whatsoever with no other mods. With a TRE rear diff I occasionally switch to gravel or snow in tight parking lots to decrease lock-up.

ACD tuning is no longer in business and took a bunch of people for a ride at the end but other vendors are:

acd

I bought mine from English Racing. I sent them the ACD Ecu then they reprogrammed it and sent it back to me. Keep in mind that if you DD your car and you are driving at slower speeds you could get some vibration when you turn the wheel.

To remedy this, I asked Aaron to keep the tarmac setting the same as stock. Whenever I want to bang the corners, I switch it to snow mode. When I hit traffic or want to drive at normal speeds again I switch it back to tarmac mode. This is the best way to set up the ACD ecu in my opinion.

Mine is available for purchase if you're interested, just pm me.

No noise or vibration whatsoever from the flash alone.

Initial noise from TRE diff that is completely gone after break-in.

Slight tire scrub from TRE rear diff in tight parking lots. Can be dealt with by switching to a less aggressive map.

I wouldn't want to drive any Evo with a stock map anymore no matter what conditions ... IMO stock ACD map totally sucks and spoils what is otherwise a brilliant car.

Had the ACD tune since spring 2012.

I wouldn't be concerned about overcycling the pump. It's more likely to die from corrosion.

TS comp has a 6-map flash on sale right now. Can't comment on the quality of their maps but you should be able to find something among 6 that is better than stock.

The tunes seem to be very different from vendor to vendor depending how people set them up. But I would go so far as saying nothing is likely worse than stock. In my case it was absolute magic ...

I had the Gruppe-S flashed ACD for a few years. They were one of the first to offer the service, but I don't think their maps are as aggressive as the other newer ones. Not much different driving around on the street. Slight improvement in a road course, but it did not fix the understeer the platform is known for. This season, I've upgraded to a Sheptrans rear diff, and noticed an improvement with turn in right away. I haven't taken it to a road course yet, but hopefully soon.

If I was to do it all over again, I would upgrade the rear diff first (re-stack, shep, or TRE) and only if it's lacking, flash the ACD.

I believe they leave the stock 3 maps and add 3 new maps so u still have the stock ones u could use.

This is what ts comp said when I asked

For now, there are just 3 stock settings for the person to use factory settings, then there are 3 additional modified more aggressive settings.

We can of course, tune all 6 maps however.

Yes, stock diff with the tune. I'm sure it would feel even better with an upgraded differential.

That is with a different company. English racing only uses the three modes when flashing the acd.
