Lost immobilizer....car wont start

I am sitting down in a friends 05 and his car is currently running on the stock map with ECU+. I put the map i wanted on the car and it started up perfectly but then when we tried starting it up a few minutes later it wouldnt start. Im assuming the immbolizers are not matched and i no longer have his old one. What are my options?

Did you make a backup of the stock map? If so just flash that back on there. If not, avoid the dealer. The warranty will be voided because you messed with the ECU.

I guess you could try 10*10*10*10 = 10000 different combinations of immobilizer codes...

Nope, unless you have the dealer do it (they won't). This is why so much emphasis is placed on making a backup of your stock map.

I should rephrase. the dealer WILL do it, but for a hefty sum and it will void your warranty.

The car delaers out here don't take kindly to messing with the ECU. I can guarantee HB mitsu and South Coast Mitsu know about ECUFlash...

There may be a way using some 3rd party electronics. Talk to car alarm installation specialists.

Please put me in the right direction , I am confused. You said that your car wouldn't start because of the inmobilizer?

The only issues I had with the inmobilizers were the aftermarket alarm which has a inmobilizer and the Mitusbishi key which has to be reprogram whenever you loose it.

Am I missing something? I did not know the flashes came with a inmobilizer maps until recently I heard Al offers multiple maps(valet, racing, ingnition kill, etc?)

Could someone clarify this for me. Thanks!!

Carlos

neither want to work...hmmm

Is there anything else it could be besides the immobilizer?

WrxtoEvo, All our cars have immobilizer codes which im sure you understand. The problem lies with putting other people's maps on other people's car. Those maps have the immobilizer attached and if the old map and the new map that your flashing do not have matching immobilizers, the car wont start.
