If you didn't back up the original rom before flashing it, and had no opportunity to save the Immobilizer code, then unfortunately you would have to go to the dealer to get the code in the immobilizer reset, and then put into the ECU..

If you did save a copy of your rom somewhere, you can get it from there.

also does the 03 models come up as 04 since the ECU stock setting are exactly the same for both years?
The 03 and 04 ECU's are more or less identical, I think the first person who found a particular rom ID probably assigned it an 03 number, some of the Roms I've seen have only been early allocation 03 and never seen on other years.. But there are some roms seen on the 04, that Ive seen on later 03's..

The year isn't really important.. 03-04 have the Intercooler sprayer, the 05 does not.. Thats the major difference in the roms..

this is the lesson of the day: always save a copy of your stock ROM in at least 2 places before altering it.

Actually I have a friend that owns the biggest lock smith company in my area and they can actually program any key to work with the ECU as long as you have 2 keys in the same family! Might be worth checking with your local lock smith first before paying the big $$$ from Mits. and avoid the questioning of how this happened.
