yea, it came in the week after my motor blew. BUT, we know that was not the problem, only a good safeguard that I did not have at the time. Spun bearing due to faulty connecting rod bolt (which stretched) is the assumed cause.

Are they on your site?

One thing I wanted to mention Jack is that your site I find difficult to navigate. There seems to be way too many tabs to easily find your way though.

The tabs are the profile and PM section, it drives me nuts.. But the download section is the links on the left.. click download, then drill down to the stock Evo Rom section.. Its "overly organized" At the moment because of the huge amount of content we have that needs to be put online.. I have many of the common roms on there, the harder to find ones I'm adding as they turn up. As I do roms that need new defs, I'll make sure the new Def gets posted also.

MalibuJack,

Would it be possible to describe the process for writing an XML rom definition file?

+1 on Jestr's customer service. I emailed them at 11:41am and got my flash at 12:30pm. Ridiculously fast service!

I can say that Jestr is one of the ONLY vendors who said they will tune my JDM EvoIX ECU. Of course, to avoid problems he did say to provide the definitions so that we're both working on the same thing, but most of the other vendors basically said "no" to JDM as soon as it was mentioned.

This, to me, means MORE than just the fact that a vendor will or won't do JDMs, EDMs, ADMs, or other country Evos... it means that Jestr and whoever else will do JDM ECUs will take the TIME and EFFORT to actually look at the map and tune accordingly, rather than send you a generic "one-size-fits-all" copy/paste jobbie.

So props to Jestr.

You never asked us.

We just finished a JDM Evo 7 in the Carribean. This was a CUSTOM TUNE and not a guesswork basemap however. We do offer both baseflashes and custom tunes, however greater results will be seen with the product such as our RemotEflash(tm)

One of our first pilot program customers (YETI) just tested his RemotEflash(tm) from us and ran a personal best of 12.003@116.58mph on pumpgas alone. This car will run 11.6-11.7 with some better driving.

Good Thread!

I checked all the sites listed and all appear to specialize in or target drag racing (just from the pics on their sites).

Any tuners offering base e-flashes that come from a road racing background? Aren't the tunes slightly different for when you have 15 secs of WOT vs 30mins or more of WOT (lots of extra heat soak everywhere)... no?
