anybody has a flash on a stock evo?

i've search and everybody with flashes have lots of mods, i only have a TBE, k&N drop in so far and im mostly going to stay with my stock turbo. i don't want to waste anymore money on anymore bolt ons so i was thinkin about going with a flash. i was wondering with these 2 simple mods and a flash will i feel a big difference? anybody here with mods like mine has a flash? i know they are guarantee 20whp on a stock car but is it reliable? where does the extra whp come from? with these 2 mods will i see more than 20whp and reliabilty?

Sure.. The biggest gains are made by tuning for your modifications. One of the mods that gets the best gains on a mostly stock car is a reflash.

Why flash a stock Evo,make's no sence.Mod your car then flash to take advantage of the mod's you put on your car.

Well, there are plenty of reasons not to modify the car.. A reflash is easily reversable though.

I've seen 30-50hp gains even on a bone stock car with a reflash.. Even more if the tuner is familiar with the boost control settings in the ECU..

Same thing when used in this context.. Any flash is a reflash, since your overwriting the original flash, symantics mostly..

flash, tbe, and K&N drop in. Still works like a stock evo but will have good gains. Ull gain 50 whp at least with those mods, prolly even more - but ull be around 300 whp and it runs jus as well as stock.

Just make sure you either add a manual boost controller, or tweak the boost settings in the flash. Without extra boost, you're not taking advantage of the TBE as much as you could be. If you don't go crazy with the boost, you'll still maintain reliability.

It is worth considering a fuel pump with these mods as well.

Yes, and injectors as you reach ~300 awhp IMHO just to be safe.

300whp with a flash and my mods? for some reason i don't believe that. so the person giving me the flash can turn my boost up without a boost controller? i plan on taking my car to TT for a flash.

Injectors are FAR from needed to reach 300whp even on a mustang.

Go with the flash, you will enjoy the smoothness even with your mods. I started there as well.
