Exclamation Wideband serial connection

Just received my lm-1 and I hooked everything up but my labtop has no serial port... Is there someway I can convert the cable to be USB or some alternative? Please help asap thanks.

Yep. I got mine at radio shack. It is a serial to USB adaptor. Works great for me.

Not all of them work so keep your receipt in case you have to return or exchange. I tried a couple w/ my Zeitronix that didn't work so I just bought the one they sell on their site.

well i just bought one from best buy. I hooked it up and installed the driver but when I open the lm-1 manager program it says, seaching for device. Im guessing it cant find it.

Go into device manager and see what port your adapter is on (com1 or whatever). Try to manually set it in the LM-1 software.
