AFR map advice
I pulled my ROM tonight for the first time and, as everyone else, have a few questions for those of you in the know.
In the AFR map I understand that the actual values are not what the ECU is actually using (ie. 8.7 in the map doesn't translate to 8.7 AFR in the ECU). Why is this and has anyone come up with a formula to translate the AFRs into useable date?
I am assuming the timing table is accurate though, meaning the degree in the map is actually what the ECU is using.
What is the best way to adjust the fuel map then since the AFRs in the map are not what the ECU is using? I do have a PLX wideband and am awaiting MJ's Mistulogger to be able to log that value but for now will log it thru the ECU+ so, how is the best way to adjust both the AFR map and timing? By that I mean changing the date in the map since the AFRs are not the same between the map and ECU.

One other thing, what file extension should be used to post info from the ECUflash? I can only save it as a .hex file, which is not an acceptable extension on here. I guess the question should be how do I switch the extension from hex. to one of the acceptable extensions?
You should be able to correlate the values with a little practice. Use the ecu+ logs to find the load cell based on the timing you are running (but make sure the knock voltage is not spiking at all or you could be looking in the wrong cell due to knock).
Once you find the load cell on the timing map, flip over to the fuel map and find the same load cell. Based on your wideband logs, makse some adjustments, go easy though like + / - 0.2 to start with and see what change that gives you.
you may want to zero out th eadjustments in ecu+ before you start. Sice ecu+ alters the maf signal to adjust fueling that will move you around the load table as well.
