Problems with Mitsulogger

For some reason I can not open Mitsulogger, I have tried to re-download the software several times with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

Download .net framework 2.0 from Microsoft, per instructions when you download Mitsulogger

You have to be more specific what the error is..

As long as the driver is installed, (ECUFlash and drivers), The cable is plugged in, and .NET is installed, it generally should work.

There is ONE thing that can cause problems, did you recently add new hardware, such as a serial device or GPS? Some of these devices share the same driver, and in some instances can confuse the program (future versions will address this)

Oh, another thing.. This is by nature how .NET works, but if your trying to run the program off a network share, aka mapped drive, and not a local drive, it usually throws an error. I havent recently attempted to figure out what is needed to make it trusted over a network, but its no biggie.

So will the program not run if the cable is unplugged? If so that is most likely the root of my problem. I was trying to open the logger without the cable plugged in to get more accustom with the software.

Well... it will run if ECUFlash and the drivers have been already installed and the cable had been plugged in at one time, early on I had mistakenly assumed that people would have already tested their cable before trying the program.

If the drivers have never been installed, it probably wont run.. Again, the future release will take this into account so the drivers won't need to be installed for it to run. Demo mode was intended to generate sample data, and not really to run without the cable driver every being installed. When I got enough people saying they wanted to play with it without the cable, I realized I had to accomodate this.

Did you just copy the MistuLogger.exe out of the folder and try to launch it that way? You have to keep all those other files (*.dll, *.xml) files on the same folder as the .exe.
