I want to be able to log some runs on my lap top..what do I need?

Is a wideband a neccesity?

1. tactrix cable 2. evoscan or mitsulogger downloaded
a wideband is neccessary if you want to log air/fuel ratio. you can still log all the other parameters like knock, timing, etc.

Ok, some more questions for you guys.

I've downloaded this file "scantech project re-pack" file but it won't open the file.
I do not have the cable yet but I just wanted to familiarize myself.
When I try to open one of the files I get an error saying it cannot open it or
it tells me to choose a program to open it with.

What program do I use to open it?
What am I doing wrong?
