ECUFlash / Evoscan / Mitsulogger Questions
Would this help me setup my 03 Evo 8 from MAF to SD? I have tactrix 1.3 and am trying to get a base map in to get it started and running. Currently on stock injectors/turbo. Have all the necessary items for SD, Tial Q, omni 4 Bar, intake AIT, and SD intake
Long time user of EvoScan, but running into a strange issue with EvoScan 2.9 ignoring my formula. I'm logging a Zeitronix input and it is displaying in volts no matter what I put into the "Eval" line. For example, regardless of whether Eval is simply "x" or "37.5*x", I get the same displayed value on EvoScan. Very frustrating! What am I doing wrong. Here is the xml being generated, which looks okay:
<DataListItem DataLog="Y" Color="" Display="Fuel Pressure (ZTX)" LogReference="ZTXUser1" RequestID="ZTX" Eval="37.5*x" Unit="PSI" MetricEval="" MetricUnit="" ResponseBytes="1" GaugeMin="0" GaugeMax="150" ChartMin="0" ChartMax="150" ScalingFactor="1" Notes="" Priority="1" Visible="False" LogHide="false" />
Thanks for any ideas on what to do when EvoScan ignores your formula.

Not getting any response / serial for EvoScan
Heya, i recently bought evoscan from their website and my paypal got confirmed, but I haven't recieved a single email about anything, let alone my serial.
i checked their help page, its empty, the serial code email service gives an instant SMTP_CONNECT_FAILED but says it definitely send me a mail, it didn't.
I Even sent them a message on facebook without avail :/
Getting the idea i just got plain scammed. Kinda need it tho.

OpenPort 1.3D corupt datastream
Hi, I have ordered OpenPort 1.3D cable a couple weeks ago from evoscan and received it yesterday.
I am currently testing it with windows and have some issues. If the engine is off (key on) logging works perfectly, but after starting the engine and logging for about a minute datastream becomes corupt, showing random data. If I restart logging at this state ECU ID will be 0000 and data will be corrupted immediately, showing random jumping data. Only shutting down the engine, waiting a couple seconds for ecu to power-off and turning key on again restores logging to normal. Starting engine will cause same issue after a minute or so.
I have noticed that at the same time data starts corupting check engine light will turn on or flash briefly. DTC won't show anything though.
Also, this corupt data will cause evoscan application to become very slow (like 1-2 frames per second), datarate will drop from 200 per second to 10 per second or lower. I am running evoscan v2.9, have tried a couple of different drivers (yes, deleting the old one first before install)
Tomorrow will try clean install of all software testing even more drivers. Any help would be highly appreciated.

@JezausTevas.........
Check the baud rate (BAUDRATE2_MUT) set in your ROM matches the BaudRate top left in EvoScan. I've seen the symptoms you describe if they are different.

Hello, @cdrinkh2o, thanks for your comment.
Any suggestions on what the correct baudrate might be? I am running stock ROM on '98 EUDM Galant V6 2.5l ECU.
I am finishing an engine swap to 3G eclipse (4G64 -> 6A13). 4G64 ECU was OBDII capable, but this 6A13 ECU only supports MUTII, so I only recently bought OpenPort cable for it.

Yes, this is the default baudrate which I am using.
I am suspecting battery voltage to be the culprit, as I am currently not running alternator. Voltage reading is hovering at 12V (+-0.5V) at idle.
Although ECU should be stable down to until 9V, and indeed the engine is running smooth, so maybe some limitation in OpenPort's signal voltage regulator, as OBD port uses 12V on data lines that must be converted to USB's 5V.

I've read somewhere in forum that this may also be caused by the spark plugs, although I am somewhat sceptical about that.
Ok, so i will start by saying that i'm planning on getting a remote tune in the future. That being said, i have the tactrix openport and downloaded ECUFlash and tephra v7 just to check it out and get a feel for the program. In the mean time my CEL is on for the rear o2 since i have no CAT. I have searched and looked at ways to get the CEL to go away using o2 sims and what not but most posts seem older, and have different ways of doing it, and just seems confusing. Also, almost impossible to search for "o2" on the search function.
To keep a long story short, whats the most straight forward way, with the the tools i have, to disable the rear o2 and keep the CEL off. I need the "disable o2 for dummies" here, as the more i read, the more questions i have.
