Sending logs to a tuner

I just recently received a base flash, I was told to send some logs back to my tuner. Do I start logging when i take off in first then take it to redline (WOT) through 4th gear? He said 1-3, 3rd WOT, 4th WOT. Does he want separate logs or just the one of all gears? Im new to ecuflash and logging, Can someone give me some pointers.

You need to ask the tuner for clarification. He knows exactly what he needs.

Ideally you would send several logs.....Start with a 1 - 3 WOT; then 1st gear pull WOT from 2K RPM to redline; then 2nd gear WOT pull from 2K to redline; then 3rd gear from 2K RPM to redline....You might want in each of these gears to do several pulls to see if the car starts knocking as it gets hotter....

Well be careful doing a 4th gear WOT -- you will be going really fast.....

ummm.. I would ask that not do the 4th gear pulls on public roads. IMHO you don't need them, at least not to the redline... It really becomes an issue of safety at that point.

i'd say so... my tuner asked me to do a 5th gear pull... after 160 it starts getting a little shakey. lol jp

i would do a couple pulls in each gear.... and i do some semi aggresive driving on and off the gas like i was at a "track" so he see's whats going on midrange and partial throttle

cheers!

separate logs for each run. He can see it all in 1 log, but make it easy for him.
