Vendor e-flash question
So I'm trying to decide between Dynoflash and Jestr for my e-flash. I've got a few questions. 1st) Are either of these flashes locked? I ask because I plan on maybe doing some fine tuning myself or in the future. 2nd) Can either of these raise the stock boost and get it to hold relatively well with the stock boost solenoid? I ask this because I want to keep the car as stock looking as possible. Thanks for your help.

1) Locking and Obfuscation doesnt matter, its easily bypassed if you want to make your own changes, FWIW I don't think either of them do that anyway. For me its a sticky issue as I believe its your own map, and nobody has the right to prevent you from working with it on your own car.
2) Yes, its possible to use the built in boost control to do what you want. Depending on the Tuner, and your level of boost, there might be minor modifications to the boost control lines to accomodate it. But It can be done. Boost does hold well with the stock system, but the stock turbo isn't designed to maintain a high level of boost through redline anyway, so it will fall off a few PSI from where it peaks if your looking at 23psi or so as your peak it would likely taper to around 21-20psi..
FWIW, the stock solenoid works really well as a bleed system without any of the restrictors, I have been playing with it on an external wastegate setup and it works as well as any other solenoid I've tried.
