In response to the first post and as anyone attending our custom tunes (at the shop or traveling) can attest, we tune a car to the best of our abilities no matter what parts are on the car. When I tune a car my number on priority is to make best power curve with a good safety margin. If there is a problem with the car I won't tune around it because that is not the correct thing to do. I'll try to identify the problem (boost leak, bad ignition, ect) fix if possible. I've had only a few issues with components causing issues and they where a few intakes that really altered the MAF signal.

Good luck in your choices and if you have any questions feel free to call and ask to Chris or Myself at the shop. 847-709-0530

Regards,

Martin

Our goal is the maximum useable power and torque whether for use or drag or street or both. Many driving conditions are tested during our custom tune so that the car will perform well not only as a dyno queen, but also actually be able to put down the trap speeds and E.T.'s that confirm the level of performance outside of a sheet of paper you can post a link to in your sig.

Jestr! No reason to look anywhere else

He truly understands the ECU and its capabilities. The best tuning experience I've ever had, considering the many I've had with my other cars.

how do ya'll tune for 2 boost settings?

For example, a EBC with hi/low boost..?

If you tune for the high boost w/ race or meth/alchy then just turn the boost down for the low?

Wouldn't that make the low boost setting really rich since the fuel curve is set for the highboost race gas?

This might be a simple question, but I can't figure out how this is done without the option to have multiple mapS

Different levels of boost alter the load the ECU sees, therefore if you tune at high boost, you'll be mostly at different load sites than at low boost, so both can be tuned accordingly. The trouble with doing a dual-stage map is there will be circumstances where the low boost driving, can occasionally reach a load site that might be tuned for the high-boost portion of the map, this is where the trouble can come from. Especially if both tunes on the same map are for different types of gas, and boost, and Alky injection or whatnot..

Everything is a compromise, there was some experimenting with dual stage maps, and for the most part they worked, Doing what you describe is along those lines.

i have evo scan. i did a few logs with the car. i dont know what im looking at other then knock, wideband, rpm, timming. it looked good to me. john told me to log the car and send it back to him for review. well i did and he sent me a new map. he said try this. i did. my car was even smoother, faster, cleaner.. i called him personaly and he took the time to explane what he had done. i was so happy. he then said yo dan log it again and send it back just to make sure it is perfect. well as to his request i did. guess what. i did NOT get a new map back. it was spot on. he said he cant make any changes because it is logging perfect. my car just pull's and pull's. smooth. so smooth i forget how fast im going.... need i say more???????????????

the guy talks to you when your on the phone because he picks up. he does not quick question you and does not hint to get off the phone. if he has to go or cant talk at that moment then he says so. but he returns the phone call. he does not take 3 weeks or more to return an email, phone call or your flash. 98% of the time you have your new map within 24hours of sending him payment. i beleave i did mine on a weekend and i told him. i will wait to monday for my flash. i told him to enjoy his weekend. well i got it on that weekend. i was so happy. he does not tell you your mods suck. he does not down grade your car or your plan's for it. he talks to you as if you was his best friend for the past 2 years... he is friendly. i feel when i need a tip or an idea i have someone to call for a quick second and get a true response. im not the brightest person. i dont pick up on things real fast. john makes things so easy to understand for his costomers its great. i dont sit by the phone or computer wondering if i should pm him or call him for something because of what he may think. he makes me feel welcome to his line of work.

i can go on but need i say more??????????????????? no. like i said. get it done the right way the 1st time. john i love you. yea like that to. lol. j/k but i do love you.
After reading this i think my next TUNE will be with jestr along with a 35r
