Just so that I understand correctly.. is this a good alternative to fix the P0300 CEL light plague that some of us 03 owners have when installing a new clutch or because of loud harmonic noises in the drive train causing the knock.?

yeah he has been releasing stuff a bit at a time on aktivematrix, some of it is specific to a particular ECU which then has to be translated to ours as several versions have slight differences in these areas.

No, its never a good idea to disable knock control to fix a P0300

It depends what RPM the p0300 is happening anyway, but its not a topic for this thread.

I was hoping that it fixed that problem. I have that problem between 3200 and 4000.

Boy it sure would be nice to configure knock control. I get consistent phantom knock between 3000-4000 rpm at partial throttle. I think I've been able to slightly improve my car's sensitivity by playing with the knock filters, but it's been very difficult to quantify the results. I'd just as soon have a way of telling the ECU to ignore any knock activity below 4000 rpm when the TPS is at less than 40%.

Slightly off-topic ... has anyone been able to map all of the CEL codes? Would be nice to be able to ignore the P0420 and the EGR CELs...
