Boost/evoscan/boost gauge

My car is completely stock. I recently installed a greddy boost gauge.
i tapped the intake manifold vacuum line that connects to the bov.

For some reason it keep saying im boost 30psi.

When i run a evoscan i get 329kpa..

I have no idea whats going on..

A defective WG, sol, or something is unlikely to produce 30 psig

Guage must be bad unless you accidently tapped into the fuel line

Its tapped off the center line on the intake manifold that goes into the hard line for the bov..

Thats the ideal place - shouldn't be more than 15" in Hg or 20psi if stock

at idle it reads 20inHG..

as soon as i touch gas it reads 5psi quick...

Im going to test a mechical gauge tomorrow to see if the car really is boosting 30psi...

i hope it isnt..

Problem solved, I was sent the wrong sensor..

i was sent a sensor for a peak and hold gauge rather then the electronic one.

If you want to know if your overboosting look at your load calc values in EvoScan. The ECU doesnt care about boost, it cares about load. You dont want to be over 260 peak load and want to be in the 200-240 load columns after peak boost.

Wait a second, do you mean your mechanical guage is 30psi or do you have zeitoplug in and your evoscan psi is off?
